Privacy Policy
Studio Mesa respects your privacy and keeps data collection to the minimum needed to run this website and process purchases.
Information We Collect
We only collect information that is necessary to provide our products and support. This may include:
Basic order information when you make a purchase
Your email address if you contact support
Like most websites, our servers may automatically log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for basic site operations, security, and troubleshooting. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Process purchases and deliver products
Respond to support requests
Maintain and improve the website
Protect the site from abuse or technical issues
We do not use personal information for advertising or unsolicited marketing.
Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable steps to protect any information you provide. No method of online transmission or storage is completely secure, but we aim to use reputable services and standard security practices to reduce risk.
How Long We Keep Information
Order and customer records are kept for as long as you own a template, so we can provide support and fresh copies, and for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Support messages, error reports, and analytics data are kept only as long as they are useful for troubleshooting, and are deleted or anonymized after that.
Analytics and Third-Party Services
We use a small number of outside services to run the site and process orders. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:
Cloudflare hosts the site and provides privacy-focused, cookieless analytics. It records aggregate pageview data such as page, referrer, country, and device type. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Canopy provides an additional analytics measurement on the site, recording the same kind of aggregate pageview data.
Plausible provides privacy-friendly analytics, recording the same kind of aggregate pageview data. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Stripe processes all payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us.
Resend delivers our transactional email, such as your template access link and login codes.
Squarespace hosts the template sites themselves, and their own terms and privacy policy apply once a site is yours.
We do not run advertising pixels and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Error Reporting
If something breaks in your browser, the site sends us a short technical report so we can fix it. That report includes the page URL, the error message, your browser type, and your IP address. It is used only for diagnosing faults.
Cookies and Local Storage
This site uses one functional cookie, which records a referral code when you arrive through an affiliate link so the referring partner is credited correctly. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your browser also stores a small record of your own visits to this site: the date you first arrived, a count of visits, the type of page you landed on, and the site that referred you. It stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere. When someone clicks a buy button or completes a purchase, a coarse summary of it is included with our analytics event, for example “first visit 2 to 7 days ago, third visit, landed on an article”. It contains nothing that identifies you, and clearing your browser data removes it.
External Links
This website may link to other sites. Studio Mesa is not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page.
Studio Mesa Bridge (Chrome extension)
Studio Mesa Bridge is a free Chrome extension that copies blog posts from one Squarespace site into another. It collects nothing. There is no account, no server, and no analytics in the extension, and no data of any kind is transmitted to Studio Mesa or to any third party.
The extension has no interface of its own. You use Bridge on the tool page at studiomesa.co, and the extension is the piece that lets that page reach Squarespace on your behalf. It stores nothing at all.
Everything runs in your browser. It reads posts from the Squarespace site you choose as the source and writes them into the Squarespace site you choose as the destination, using the Squarespace session you are already signed in to. Your posts pass directly between those two sites and never reach us, and the tool page sends no request that carries your content. Like every page on this site, the tool page is counted by the cookieless analytics described above, which record that the page was viewed and never what passes through it.
Your source site is never modified. The extension writes only to the destination you pick.
